17 Ayurveda dispensaries and 1 hospital are functioning in the tribal areas of the State, managed jointly by the department of Indian Systems of Medicine (ISM), Scheduled Tribes (ST) Development department and Local Self Government (LSG) department. Posts of Medical Officer and Pharmacist are provided by the department of ISM and 2 supporting staff are provided by the department of ST development. Medicines and other infrastructural facilities are provided by the department of LSG.

Apart from general OP, camps are conducted at the remote tribal colonies and pre metric hostels. Palliative doorstep services are also provided by these institutions.
