The SCP Vayo Amrutham project funded by Sulthan Bathery Municipality and organized at the Taluk Ayurveda hospital Sulthan Bathery is for meeting the various health care needs of senior citizens aged above 55 yrs belonging to the Scheduled Caste. The project has a fund of 2 lakhs. About 50 people have registered under the SCP Vayo Amrutham project and avail the benefit of meeting their healthcare during these financially challenging times caused by the pandemic.

All the beneficiaries have been provided their SCP Vayo Amrutham health cards in which all their medical conditions and health status have been recorded. They are asked to bring their health cards during their hospital visits every month.The next date of review will be marked in their cards. After a thorough clinical examination conducted at Taluk Ayurveda hospital Sulthan Bathery, the medicines are provided for one month.

Vayo Amrutham project is very beneficial for the elderly suffering from Osteo arthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis, general debility, hypertension, dyspepsia, constipation, insomnia, depression, anxiety etc. Also, the project proved to benefit the elderly to boost their immunity and stay healthy during the tough times of COVID-19. We were able to give paramount importance to the health care needs of the elderly and successfully run the SCP Vayo Amrutham project of Sulthan Bathery Municipality.
