Best Ayurveda Doctor Award – Framework, norms and standards
Best Ayurveda Doctor award is prearranged each year to those physicians who contributed their finest service in the arenas of medical management and education of Ayurveda at the state level. Built on specific categories and criteria, the accolades are acknowledged by different labels such as Ashtanga Ratna, Dhanwantari, Charaka, Atreya and Vagbhata awards.
- Ashtanga Ratna Award
This award is set for the eminent physician who made a plenary impact on overall fields of Ayurveda. Awardees are honoured with a cash award of INR 25,000 and a memento.
- Dhanwantari Award
Dhanwantari Award is designed for doctors who backed exceptionally well in the ground of Ayurveda clinical practice and research. Eligible doctors from Government, quasi government, private and public sectors are considered for the honour. Awardees are honoured with a cash award of INR 15,000 and a memento.
- Charaka Award
Charaka award honours the great Ayurveda doctor from Indian Systems of Medicine for their renowned service to the system and the public. Awardees are honoured with a cash award of INR 15,000 and a memento.
- Athreya Award
This prize is for the best academician of the Ayurveda educational institutes of the State. Awardees are honoured with a cash award of INR 15,000 and a memento.
- Vagbhata Award
This award is for the distinguished Ayurveda physicians working in the private sector. Awardees are honoured with a cash award of INR 15,000 and a memento.
The awards are distributed in a prime public function, usually held at the State capital.
