Skin and Hair problems are one of the major issues affecting a higher proportion of population due to the present life style, faulty dietary habits and inappropriate nutrition .In today’s fast growing world people are becoming more conscious about the skin and hair , as it is a compulsory part of their personality building .Thus skin and hair care holds a special position in present era .AVM Govt Ayurveda Hospital irinjalakuda has a unit for skin & Hair care running as a project under Local Self Government Department since 2019-20.
Hair fall, Premature greying of hair, dandruff, alopecia, acne, vitiligo, dark spots on face etc are commonest among young adults today, causing stress and inferiority complex among people. These conditions are treated under this project by providing proper internal medication as well as external procedures like siroabhyangam, sirodhara, nasyam, mukhabhyangam, mukhalepam etc. Proper follow up and assessment done in equivalent intervals.
By this project we are reducing the psychological stress due to various skin and hair ailments by providing cost effective, authentic ayurvedic treatments for the same.
