Speciality op for prasuti and streeroga (ayurveda gynaecology) started in district ayurveda hospital Kollam on 21 december 2018. The specialist doctor serves as HR support provided by national ayush mission. Along with this, a dedicated programme of district panchayat kollam named soothika paricharanam is too performed as part of prasuti and streeroga op, meant specifically for antenatal and post natal care and the results were promising. Medicines and infrastructures provided by district panchayat, kollam ensures quality treatment to poor section of society.

 

The speciality op  impart  positive health care for females through early detection and  treatment of various gynaecological ailments from menarche to menopause. Treating infertility cases under this project earned a positive results to the patients at feasible cost. The special OT treatment procedures for gynaecological disorders includes yoni prakshalana, yoni varti, yoni dhoopana, yoni pichu, uttara vasti etc.
