Epidemic cell
In order to strengthen the epidemic prevention and control activities, a state epidemic prevention and control cell is functioning under the department of ISM.
Joint Director of ISM department is the Chairperson of the State Cell and Medical Officers of the department functions as Convener and Joint Convener. District Medical Officers and selected Medical Officers from the department are also part of the state cell. Under the State Cell, district epidemic cells are functioning in each of the 14 districts. For the effective implementation of the programmes towards effective intervention in preventive and curative aspects of epidemics, separate units are functioning in each of the legislative assembly constituencies of the state, monitered by the concerned District Medical Officers.
