Kerala Institute of Sports Ayurveda and Research (KISAR) is the first ayurvedic super specialty sports hospital in Asia which is situated in Kerala, the land of Ayurveda since 2019. It is functioning under the department of Indian Systems of Medicine, under the supervision of Director, Joint Directors and District Medical Officer. The 50-bedded hospital have two male wards (30 beds) one female ward (15 beds) and 5 air-conditioned suite rooms with necessary amenities. The extensive infrastructure of this institution offers facilities comprising five OPD consultations, video conferencing, gymnasium, yoga hall, physiotherapy unit, swimming pool and a synthetic track.

Services :- OP time: 9 AM – 2 PM

Pre-event conditioning :- Early identification and sorting of talents based on prakriti (body constitution), saara (tissue constitution), samhanana (built), pramana (body size) and satwa (temperament) for the prevention of on-field injuries.

Out-field activities :- Giving first aid management to on-field sports injuries SARC- Unit started functioning at RVDAH since 2012.Temporarily shifted to KISAR from 2019 onwards. Extending pre-event, event, post event manangement and conditioning of the sports personals especially during the competition held at thrissur districts after the routine duties. OP time is 9am to 5 pm. Conducting seminars and medical camps for professionals and sports persons. Special diet is implimented for sports persons to maintain their fitness Yoga is advised to improve the physical and mental health.
