Excluding mortality, skin diseases are the fourth leading cause of disability worldwide. Ayurveda has been a proven therapeutic mode in the management of spectrum of skin morbidities like psoriasis, dermatitis, fungal infections (tinea corporis, tinea cruris, tinea versicolor, tinea pedis, onychomycosis etc.), other bacterial infections (cellulitis, impetigo, folliculitis, carbuncles, erysipelas etc.), viral infections( warts, hand foot mouth diseases etc.), hairfall, dandruff, parasitic skin infections like scabies etc.

Aiming to this objective “mridulam” project was initiated on 15.09.2020 at DAH, Kollam. Specialised patient analysis and disease management have been implemented since inception. Efficiency has been tailored to success in all the endeavours of this project. Medicines distributed free of cost so that the poor can avail the benefits.
