Kumarisuraksha is a project for scheduled Tribes funded by Sulthan Bathery municipality. Beneficiaries are ST girls between the ages of 12 to 25. Last year municipality provided an amount of 2 Lakh for the project. They raised the fund to 4.5 Lakh by seeing the importance. Patients were asked to submit an adhar card or ration card copy for their registration. Once their registration is done health card is provided. Camp is usually organized on all Saturdays. Kumarisuraksha projects play an important role in the healthcare of adolescent ST girls in their health problems like anemia, leucorrhoea, urinary tract infections, dysmenorrhoea, and other health issues. Beneficiaries were 70 for the year 2020-21. In 2021-2022 the target increased to 130.
