Janani Suraksha is a project funded by the sultan bathery municipality. The project includes antenatal, postnatal and neonatal care through Ayurveda benefitting all pregnant women in bathery municipality. Last year municipality sanctioned an amount of 2 lakhs for the project and this year they raised the fund to 4 lakhs. The patients were asked to submit a copy of their ration card and adhar card for registering in the project. Once the registration is done, a health card is provided to the patients.The date for the next visit will be marked in the health card for avoiding confusion. Special OPs for the Janani Suraksha patients are conducted on 1st and 3 rd Fridays at taluk Ayurveda hospital sultan bathery. Antenatal examinations are done strictly under the covid protocol. Online classes are conducted on behalf of this project and a 24*7 help desk is also functioning. A WhatsApp group was initiated for doubt clearance of beneficiaries. In the year 2020-21 the number of beneficiaries was 70 and in 2021-22the beneficiaries number raised to 140.
